Gios’ Gay Resolutions for 2017
Yes, it’s that time of the year again: what are your New Year’s Gay Resolutions?
The start of a New Year is always the opportunity to look behind at what worked and what did not in the past year, but also to look forward to a whole new world of opportunities! And yes, it is time for making some commitments and gay resolutions!
How was my 2016? It was amazing! I couldn’t have hoped for a better year! But there is always room for improvement… so yes! Here are my Gay Resolutions for 2017!
Gios’ Gay Resolutions – Out and Proud: Help make the world a better place
How can I help change the world for the better? Doing what others need from myself. I have always been involved in LGBT issues, and this blog is only the tip of the iceberg of a life spent with and for the gay community. I am impressed by the amount of messages I receive every day by my avid readers, congratulating me with my open minded attitude and encouraging me to move forward and be out and proud.
Well, this is exactly what I want to do: I want this blog to give a voice to even more gay issues, while using the travel as a lite – motif. There is a whole world of gay rights which too often we take for granted, while in some countries they are not in the political agenda yet. There is a hidden universe out there where people still live in fear and silence. My virtual presence, I realize, can have a real impact, and is the perfect platform to showcase ideas, people, opportunities and organizations I believe in. I am going to be even more Out and Proud for the better.
Gios’ Gay Resolutions – New holidays experiences for the Gay Community
This resolution is partially connected with the previous one. I am a gay traveller, Out and Proud to be so. I have the ambition to help create a better environment for the LGBT travelers, avid to get to know this very small world, with the right peace of mind.
For 2017 I am working on a whole new project: Italy Gay Travels! I am preparing a few proposals of gay travels built on your needs and your requests. I want to show you around the beautiful area where I come from, Puglia, as well as addressing to you the best in the gay travel industry. Yes, 2017 is going to be a year of change: Travel with Scruffy Gios in 2017!
Gios’ Gay Resolutions – Work on my peace of mind
Traveling is my passion, as you know! And I love to share them with you all: it is my full time job! And I promise, it is not as easy as it is seems! There is a lot of work, and stress, involved. Furthermore there are a lot of new projects I am working on, all nice and exciting, but equally high energy consuming.
Believe it or not, I work out and run regularly: this definitely helps my peace of mind, but it is not enough. I need to learn how to relax, breath properly and calm down. I have come to the conclusion I need to start yoga. Will I make it? Let’s see how it goes.
Gios’ Gay Resolutions – More consistency on my blog
I have to admit that during the last year I have written a lot. But my updates have not been very constant. I promise, this won’t happen anymore in 2017! As a partial excuse, I must say this is a completely new commitment for me: I had to understand how to use this amazing tool, and how to manage your expectations.
My job is not only about blogging. There is a lot more work than just that: it is about interacting with you on my Facebook page, my Instagram account, my Twitter Profile; it is about networking with the Gay Community, locally and worldwide, by taking part in global events such as the World Travel Market; it is about finding opportunities of collaboration with outstanding gay friendly places and travel operators, such as Saltyboys, Outings and Adventures and the European Gay Ski Week.
This blog is growing, and is becoming something much bigger than I expected, and that is down to you, so I promise I won’t disappoint you!
Gios’ Gay Resolutions – Travel more and Enjoy Life
Oh yes! I already enjoy life, and I do it as much as I can! But it is never enough, right? 2017 must be full of amazing trips and great adventures. Not by myself, but with all of you! Are you guys ready to travel with me? Stay tuned!
